I turned off predictive because it was always popping up with really odd selections that I did not need. Autocorrect is OK but the prediction feature was for me at least not helpful.

I use these features because I think they make me more productive. I still proof what I write before I send it out, just as I do with dictation. These are tools. They're neither good nor bad. Use them if you like and don't if you don't think they help.
