The Plus also includes optical image stabilization, but reviews seem to suggest that that's really only helpful for video. OCR apps may not benefit from it enough to bother with.
However, the extra screen can't be discounted. You get landscape apps, for those that support it, offering split views in Settings or Mail and actual tabs in Safari.
