In trying out the two phones I found the speaker to be better and louder on the 6 plus. Can anyone confirm this?

If you're a heavy user and you already use two hands to operate your phone, the Plus is a great option. If you're used to one-handed operation and a heavy user, maybe consider getting used to a different way of operating the phone and still opt for the Plus. If you're not a heavy user, you can get along just fine with the smaller devices. Most cell providers and retailers will let you return/trade your new phone within a certain amount of time, so you could always try one and see what happens. If you still hate it after two weeks, no matter which one it is, you can switch to the other one.
