Kim, yes, VO seems to have lost being able to speak words, or more words, correctly. Like you, I tried other voices, but really nothing works for me but Samantha the default. Enhanced used to be the best, but now it is distorted, at least to my ears. Alex I tried, but even worse mispronunciation. I do not know what happened between the 8 updates and the 9 updates, but I hope with upgrade maybe better pronunciation will come from Samantha. I might suggest you check out Karen as default. She is the Australian voice. It is quite good. At this point I am just too used to Samantha to change for long. However, just me.
