Sorry, Daniel. I can't agree with you on this one. There is no way that having dictation say back to you what it thinks you were hearing is a good thing and done by design. For one thing, it is distracting. For another thing, when it does that, and you stop dictation with the two finger double tap, it doesn't stop right away as it used to. It hangs there. And voiceover keeps talking, inserting random crap that you then have to go back and delete. Plus, this dictation where voiceover speaks as you do is quite random. For instance, I almost never see it when I am dictating just a plain old email like this one. But, if I send an email from another app, such as newsify or Safari, or even talking into a Facebook message, I see it more often than not. If it were by design, I think it would be consistent. And I also think that the double tap to cease dictating would react more quickly than it does when this random voiceover speech is happening. When it doesn't happen, the double tap always stops dictation immediately. When voiceover is supposedly repeating what it hears, it always hangs after you double tap. At least that is my experience on two different devices. And, to get things back in order, I almost always have to turn voiceover off and on again when this speech during dictation occurs. So, those are the reasons why I believe it is in fact a bug.
