I just wrote apple accessibility this morning about the fact that the mail icon on the home screen says "no unread emails" no matter how many unread emails there are. They replied in less than 30 minutes with a work around that fixed it for me. Go into settings, notifications, and make sure mail notifications are on, and set to badges and then it shows the number of unread emails on the home screen icon. Richard
