That would be a nice experiment for a sighted individual to try just for fun. Perhaps an if I were writing books about IOS without the eye and I had a sighted daughter who was very technically savvy I might play with that just for kicks, laughs!

Apple does not say that turning on the screen curtain saves battery and it is not designed to reduce whatever brightness level you set. As far as I understand it, it just fills the screen with black pixels so that nothing else can be seen. Setting the brightness to 0% only means the backlighting is all the way off, but it is still perfectly possible for a sighted person to see what is on the screen especially if they look directly at it in a not too bright place. If it was very bright in the room or outside in sunlight and somebody looked a bit from the side chances are at 0% brightness very little could be seen. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of William Windels Sent: Saturday, November 7, 2015 5:09 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Screen Curtain: Hello all, The screen curtain works perfect for me but the system after this feature could better I think. Sighted friends told me that the iPhone isn’t completely dark when screen curtain is on. I mean: they see some light from my iPhone in completely dark area’s. I am not shore but I think that , on this way, the screen is also using energy for light while this is useless and could save less energy. Putting the brightness of the screen to 0%, when screen curtain is set to on, should perhaps be a better way. Thx for any suggestion or comment about this.
