The earphones problem has gone, since 9.1, and that is on my 4s and iPhone 6.

So, i would say upgrade your software.

Dave.

Subject: Re: IPhone 4s with IOs7.1.1 to upgrade or wait?

HI Chris Thanks for the info, thus I'll wait then a bit more since
EMail is what I use my phone for a lot, and also I use a lot the
earpods. Yes I know not everyone has seen these bugs, but better to be
on the safe side. Thanks again for the varied oppinions. Good thing I
haven't started the update process! I was making sure my ICloud backups
were up to date, restarting my IPhone ETC.

There are two bugs I run into that are particularly frustrating. One is that I have to hard reset my phone after I receive a call using my headphones. The phone is still working, but VoiceOver is silent and doesn't come back without a hard reset. Note that this problem may have been fixed after IOS 9.0. I haven't forced the issue lately, but I haven't run into it in a while. Further note that not everyone saw this bug.

Second is a bug where VoiceOver freezes when replying to an email message. On my phones it hangs for about 30 seconds. I'm still seeing this problem.

These bugs are not specific to the 4S. Not everyone encounters these bugs, and many consider them to be just an annoyance. It depends on how you use your phone and what you use it for.

  HI listers
I'm confident I'll get varied but honest answers on the question of
should i upgrade to the latest IOs on a 16GB 4S with IOs7.1.1? both pros
and cons, or should I wait a few months until maybe 9.3 comes out with
bug fixes etc?
