I agree, I think it would be hard to beat the Apple Earpods when it comes to what you get for the price. I also like them because they block out relatively little outside noise. I am just finishing my two-week training with my new guide dog and my last 5 days were in Vancouver where the guide dog mobility instructor often gave me a route and then followed a little ways back. I would just set up the route in the Seeing-eye app or tell Apple Maps to give me walking directions to where I was going and put in just the right side earpod which has the in-line remote and I could then hear the directions from the app and still hear what was going on around me.
