Hi Wren,

I also use Outlook and I use the native mail app, it really makes no difference
if you use Outlook on the computer and the mail app on the iPhone. The mail
client gives you access to your email and whether you use IMAP, an Outlook.com
account or a full exchange account all the mail client does is access that
account/information which is stored in the cloud and it will sync it to your
phone or computer. If you are doing basic personal email there is not that much
reason why one would not want to use the mail app unless maybe you constantly
want to send attachments you store in OneDrive or Dropbox in which case Outlook
maybe has a bit of an edge since you can very easily access these files right
from inside the app.

Hi Sigrid, and thank you to the rest who have written but who's messages I
haven't read yet. I wanted to use outlook on my phone because on my computer I
am using Outlook. The reason is because my Yahoo server isn't secure anymore.
Or I'm sorry the server that Yahoo uses isn't secure anymore. I just wanted to
keep everything in one email program. God bless, Wren Langley

Hi Wren,

The Outlook mail client is very nice, but it still has one major drawback for
Voiceover users and that is that you can’t really edit anything you type since
when you compose a new message or reply to one anything you type you can’t
review with voiceover. Is there a particular reason why you prefer Outlook over
the native mail app?

Regards,

Sieghard

Hi all, and thank you again for the help. There are no sounds in Outlook when
sending or receiving email. Does anyone know how to fix this? I turn
notifications off because I did not want outlook to continuously fetch my
email. Is there anyway to fix this so that email will not continuously fetch
mail but I can still get the sounds if I turn notification back on? If it won't
work with tote turning notifications back on is there anyway to get the sound
to work in Outlook? God bless, Wren Langley
