Okay, have attempted to subscribe to Apple music but never received a
confirmation. All seemed to go well except that on the payment link I was
advised that Paypal was not associated with my device or words to that effect.
Now I suspected a problem with the card I was using with Paypal and so tried an
alternate card and was able to purchase from the itunes store via touch ID with
my phone so cannot understand what the problem might be. Is there something I’m
missing like a terms and conditions checkbox or some such? Am feeling somewhat
stupid with this but have spent far too much time trying to accomplish what
should be a simple process and getting stuck at the same place. Tia.

  Hi listers,
I may be one of the last of the holdouts when it comes to using the Apple
music service and am still not sure I understand the point. I already have
accuradio and songza, though I know the latter is soon going away, and just
getting into Googleplay music. I have a few basic questions and would
appreciate any responses, preferrably off list so as not to add unnecessarily
to the traffic, smile.

  1. How does one add tracks from radio stations to Icloud? in other words, if
I “love” a song, can I later download or play it on demand without an outright
purchase?
Yes. If you are subscribed, there is an option when you are playing a song to
add it to your music. Then you can download it to each device that is
subscribed to your Apple ID.

Is there a way to import songs from other apps such as accuradio or Songza?
What about creating smart playlists/radio stations?
For each song, there is an option to create radio station from that song.

  2. I know Siri can be invoked to play songs, but must they be already in my
collection and/or on my iphone?
No. You can tell Siri to play any song that Apple Music subscribers have
access to.
  3. I’m not currently subscribed to Apple music. is there a way to disable or
bypass it in order to purchase and play tracks?
Yes. You can still search for songs in the iTunes store and purchase them.

Hope these questions make some sense. Again, any response appreciated either
on or off list. Thanks to all.
