On the side of the JamBox just above the speaker connector is a switch. This is a three position switch with the bottom position being off, the middle position is on and the top position is pairing mode. The switch is spring loaded such that it will not stay in the top position. Move it to the top and hold it for a few seconds. Let go of the switch and it will automatically return to the middle on position. At that point, however, the JamBox will be in pairing mode and if your iOS device is in the bluetooth dialog, it will see the JamBox and ask if you want to pair it.
