You don’t use iTunes to get photos off an iPhone, you only use iTunes if you want to sync photos from your computer to your iPhone. If all you want to do is copy a photo from your iPhone to the computer you just go to “Computer” with Windows+E, find the iPhone in your list of drives, browse to the photos folder which of course will be the only one since you can’t browse to any folders such as music etc. this way and you can then see all the photos and videos on the iPhone and use regular Windows copy and paste commands.
