Hi Chris,

Further to the last messages, I did get it to work with the 0 included, thanks, but then that was a random time. Mostly it's not working for me.

In trying to troubleshoot the problem, I've tried to be careful and check what I've written. (I'm usually pretty accurate with the app, but can make mistakes, I know, so have allowed for those.

Nevertheless, I am not getting the calendar to work very often at all.

I've turned off some of my other calendars, leaving only the Facebook and birthday ones and have also ensured that the calendar is already loaded before I start to use mBraille.

I did get it to work once with more than one word in the subject line and without using quotes, but that must be a sheer fluke, because I haven't done it since; but, as I say, it's not working reliably for me, nor have I ever got it to do so.

I did ask Harri about it ages ago but didn't get any further than I have now.

Do you or does anyone else have suggestions from here as I really do want to use it?

If nobody has suggestions, of course, I'll stop bombarding the list with more messages and do thank you, Chris, for your help so far.

I hope however that someone can come up with a solution.

Hello,

Sorry you are still having problems.

I did notice that for the month you just entered 2, but it should be 02.
Now I typed in what you said, with the exception of putting 02 instead of just
2, and it did work for me, it just put the appointment on November 2, and not
February 11.

So try typing:

.cal "Allison, Guide Dogs" "11-02-2016 11:00"

I hope this helps!

Chris

Hi Chris,

I've tried some more and still can't get this to work.

I've used uncontracted Braille (even throughout) and am in the UK, so date
format is dd-mm-yy!

My last entry tried was
.cal "Alison, Guide Dogs" "11-2-2016 11:00"
This, hopefully, was to schedule Alison from Guide Dogs to come at 11:00 on
11th February 2016.

I've also tried the 02 approach for the month.

I'm trying an "Enter" when completed, but have tried three-finger swipe left,
all without success.

Any ideas?

I've never got this to work here in the UK and so am very keen to learn if
anyone else in the UK has got the calendar to work reliably and of course to
hear from you on what you think I may be doing incorrectly.

Thanks to you and anyone else who chimes in with any further help.

I just tried using the dot cal feature in MBraille and it worked for me just
fine.
I used the examples in the help section as a guide.

First, it works better when you use grade 1 braille to enter the dot cal
command.
I did notice that after typing the start date, I had to do a letter sign dots 4
6 before typing the quotation mark, or the quotation mark would automatically
disappear.

I scheduled a meeting for tomorrow at 1 PM with an alert of 30 minutes, and a
location of Office. I typed this into MBraille:
.cal Meeting "2016-02-09 13:00" alert 30 min location: Office

If you tell me what you are trying to enter, then I will be happy to help you
figure out what you need to write to add the event to your calendar.

Hope this helps,

Chris

I'm having difficulty getting those command lines to work.

Hope to hear from someone on this. Thanks.
