Subject: IOS 9.2.1 and iTunes.
Guys,
I have updated my phone to iOS 9.2.1 over Wi-Fi connected to AC. Today, I
added some CDs to my iTunes library on my mac mini. I had to connect my
iPhone to my Mac mini to transfer these to my iPhone. I wish I did not have
to do that.
When I connected my iPhone to my Mac mini, I received a message that there
was a new iOS version. I decided not to download it. I hit cancel.
Then, I saw a message saying that there was music on my phone that had not
been transferred to my iTunes library. It was recommended that I not update
my iPhone software until I transferred this material. I allowed the new CDs
to be transferred onto my iPhone. I'm not aware that the music that I have
downloaded over the air to my iPhone is not in my iTunes library. While I
am unclear about this, what I am really concerned about is why iTunes thinks
that I am not updated to the latest version of iPhone software. Looking
under software update on my phone, I get the message that my software is
up-to-date. Could anyone give me advice as to just what I should do? I can
continually choose cancel with respect to the software update thing and
simply transfer music from my iTunes library to my iPhone. But I get the
sense that this is not quite right.
Since I don't visit this group very often, I would be grateful if people
would be kind enough to copy me directly on any responses. My email address
is kevj...@gmail.com.
Thanks,
Kevin
