Ok, an apology, and probably one of the reasons I never did get to do mp3 on my
iDevices:-
My suggestion didn't work, you can't save anywhere on the device from
attachments. I suppose they had their reasons.

so, sorry, I'll stick with the advice below, if I try this at all.

Ps: I'm not a supporter of Cloud storage either. Why were pen drives invented.

Subject: Re: Download Folder on iPhone? ??????

Hi!
I didn't follow the previous discussion on this topic so I'll try to answer as
clear as I can.
When using the native Mail app you always get some options how to download
attachments. For instance, I just opened the message with
the Excel file with it and when I double tapped it it opened in some kind of
preview which I closed by two finger scrubbing.
I double tapped and held on the attachment and I got the various options, from
copy to MS Excel, iCloud, DropBox, OneDrive,
BlindSquare, SA Contacts tooption for saving which opened another menu with the
cloud services I use and I can select any of them to
save my file.
I don't know do you got the same options with attachments but you should find
the desired file in some of the file apps you use.

S poštovanjem

Hello all:
While I am sure the response to a question I asked earlier was
well-intentioned, it left me more confused than ever. I was directed
to access the files I downloaded in Mail from Mail Drop by going to my Download
folder. I had indicated that the filenames
disappeared from the email message once the files were downloaded, and tapping
on “iCloud download† did nothing.
I have used an iPhone for about seven years now, and I am unaware of any
“download folder† and could not find anything
resembling information about how to access one, even in the newest software
updates. I suspect the kind individual who made this
suggestion may have misunderstood and was suggesting that I access the files on
the download folder of a computer, but I am trying
to access the files on the phone. I have accessed files before, within Mail,
that were mp3 files sent via Mail Drop. I do not know
why I cannot find these; they are also mp3 files. So if I am missing something,
I would appreciate being set straight. Thanks for
all help.
Christine
