Hi I may be able to help since I will be acquiring my first ever Bose bluetooth 
speaker today bought from Apple directly.

There should be a dedicated bluetooth button on your particular speaker, there 
is on mine which will be the Soundlink Colour. You press this button, and it 
should go into pairing mode just like that. If your particular speaker has 
voice prompts like mine will, you should hear "ready to pair".
