In case anyone hasn't discovered this, it's useful, for example, when
you have to enter a code. Once you hear just the code you want, you
can then do this gesture and copy it into pasteboard (which I assume
is the same as the clipboard) and paste it where required.
Perhaps I am wrong and sighted people can do this, but perhaps not so
easily as we can.
No doubt, someone will enlighten me!
