BTW: In one of your messages you stated that the HD version of the film is over 8GB. It isn't. It's about 6.4 GB. That *Might* be why you theoretically could download it to your iPad, whose cpacity you stated as going up from 7.1GB to 7.6GB?

iTunes 'Billing' is device-specific, i.e., iTunes must be set up fully on
each device to run there. Do you not have an iTunes account on your iPad?
Well, your phone requires one. (make of that what you will.)

Hello,
It worked on the iPad, though, which also freed space, but not on the
phone, as that wants billing. And yes, same apple ID, same IP address, same
film, same time of date, same settings, same speech, same everything.

I believe you'd have to have set up a billing address in some form, for this particular way to work at all. Otherwise, iTunes (or whichever store) is not going to know to what place or method of payment to bill the would-be rental
to. (Of course, if the item is too large for your device, then nothing is
downloaded and charged. You've just made your device do a recovery of all
bits of unused space as if it were preparing to download it.)

Hello,
can someone try an iPhone without billing? As I said, iPad did it, but phone
didn't..
