They're slightly different, but both are developed by Weather Decision Technologies. StormShield may have been developed specifically at the request of Scripts Company, since it seems to be affiliated with television stations around the country.
I don't own Storm Shield, but I've seen it, and they look very similar. One major difference seems to be that Storm Shield doesn't appear to offer lightning alerts, as Weather Radio does. I could be wrong on this. They do, however, offer phone call and text alerts for some severe weather events. Weather Radio doesn't offer this service. Cheryl Rejoice always! Pray continually.
