Thank you for your message. Yes, I have an apple id; but I don’t know how
to receive or send e-mails through iCloud or facetime. I really don’t. I know
I am sounding stupid; but nobody showed me how to use e-mail on my iPhone.
Honestly, I pretty much use my iPhone for whatsapp.

I am not sure what you mean when you say I have not set up my Apple Id email.
You must have set up an Apple Id in order to buy apps and sign into the app
store, iCloud etc. If you activated Facetime and iMessage the same email would
be used.

What SIM you put into your phone doesn’t matter, your apps will not really be
effected by this except that of course you wouldn’t get iMessages or Facetime
calls to your Canadian cell number, if you communicate with anybody this way
tell them to use your Apple Id email address instead.
I have used a local SIM card before in the US, Thailand and several times in
the Philippines and as long as you have cellular data you can use Facebook just
the same.
Actually, Whats App is somewhat effected since you use your Canadian number to
register, if you put in a different SIM you just have to go through the setup
screens for Whats App which isn’t a big deal.

Thank you for your responses. Yes, they sent a link and a string of
numbers as Rachmond said. Since my e-mail and internet are still only on my
pc, I chose the string of numbers to enter on the facebook I just opened on my
iPhone. It was rejected. I tried to reset it once more; but they did not send
me an e-mail like the first time. I don’t know what enter from the browse
meant. I don’t know what to do. Thank you, Feliciano for reassuring me about
the USB stick. Do you folks think that it’s worth insisting on the facebook
installation even if I want to unlock my phone and use a Lebanese number in
Lebanon?

I don’t recall ever resetting my Facebook password, but do they really sent a
temporary password by email? This seems very old-school and unsecure. Mostly if
you use a “Forgot Password” link on a website you get simply an email with a
password reset link. This will take you to a page where you enter and re-enter
your new password and, in case you have 2-factor authentication enabled, it
will ask you to enter your confirmation code either sent by text, email or
obtained via an authenticator app.

I suggest you rrset your password again and give it another shot. Once you
reset it, access facebook via the browser as you will have to enter a new
password once you login with the temporary password.
USB thumb drives do not get outdated.

my laptop keyboard typing on the Facebook at all.

My wife is using the laptop keyboard. This issue just started today and we
just downloaded the Facebook app last night. I had her reboot the laptop and it
did not help. She said when she type in an email or in MS word it types fine.
But when she types in Facebook she types one letter and then has to wait for a
period of time then type another letter. That is how slow it is. It has always
worked fine before. I find it really hard to believe installing the Facebook
app on her iPhone would have anything to do with it. So if anyone has any idea
why the typing on Facebook on her laptop is so slow please let me know.
