If it does not work, this will:
dial *72 and the number you are forwarding to.
Double tap the call button and you will hear a some quick beeps. Just hang
up.
That is it.
When you want to cancel:
dial *73 and click the call button. Once again you will hear the beeps, just
hang up and you are back to normal.

I'm UnSure WhetherOrNot YourMethod of using
Apple's iOS BuiltIn CallForwarding will Work or
not. I suggest ThisPerson try YourMethod to determine if it will work on VZW

Hello Robin,
While I certainly do not doubt your method for enabling call forwarding on
Verizon Wireless, I am surprised that one cannot use the built-in iOS
method to enable the feature.
For example, on A T & T Wireless, to enable call forwarding
1.
From the Settings list, select Phone.
2.
Select Call Forwarding. In the resulting dialog box, tap to enable the
feature then, in the edit field, simply enter the number to which you would
like your calls to be forwarded.
To disable the feature, simply tap to toggle Call Forwarding off. One nice
thing about this method is that, assuming that you subsequently wish to
forward calls to the same number, the next time you enable the feature, the
previously entered number automatically populates the edit field.

ToForward (VZW):
Press *72 + MobilePhoneNumber
&
To DeActivateForward (VZW):
*720 + MobilePhoneNumber
I beleive this IS How ItIs Performed ON VerizonWireless (VZW)
If I'm Wrong, Please (PrettyPlease) CorrectMe
Thanx
