I agree, not that I really miss the sidebar, but this sidebar seems to refer only to music, it's not like I see Apps, Movies and so on there, they are still the usual radio buttons and I find this diebar more of a pain in the neck than anything else. I actually think that with the exception of file transfer and syncing apps to your phone the versions of iTunes 12 before this one worked just fine.
