As Rob explained, there is a difference between "true" or "geographical" north and "magnetic" north. The world is on a slight elliptical path hence the magnetic north pole moves around a bit although I believe it is not moving like 10 Km from one months to another. In any case, you would have to Google what the so-called "declination" is for where you live to find out how much the true and magnetic north differ. The further north you live the more is the difference. Here where I live in northern British Columbia, Canada, the difference is about 22 degrees.
