Hi Mary,

In iTunes, open Preferences with Command-Comma. Choose the Store tab. Check the 
"Always check for available downloads," check box. Make sure Music is checked, 
as well as "Always check for available downloads." Check or uncheck the other 
items as desired. Now whenever you buy music on your phone, it will be 
downloaded to iTunes the next time you run iTunes.
