Hi Dan, I think you are correct in being a little suspicious. If it were me, I would probably call the Apple Accessibility telephone number to inquire if there were any legitimate reasons why Apple would be asking for a password. Sometimes these things are legitimate although if you were not in the process of purchasing an app that day, it seems very unlikely that Apple should be asking for your password.
