Hi, I updated to MyVerizonMobile version 5.1.8 this morning. I just opened the app after reading your message, and was on the Home Screen which read Menu and successfully flicked through the Home page, which told me about my last payment, how many days were on my current plan, and other things. Nothing about Videos , but I didn't search much further than that.
Maybe turn your phone off then on again after removing the app from your switcher, or even after removing from your device..
