Hi again, There is another trick which let’s you find out. You have to have handwriting added to your rotor for this to work. This method also includes stock apps which, as I said, are not included in the number of apps under Settings > General > About. Here is what you do:
1. On any home screen, turn the rotor to handwriting 2. Write a single letter (it doesn’t matter, as long as it is one that has apps which start with that letter. I usually do an “S” or a “C” since it’s easy to draw. Voiceover will tell you how many apps it found. For example, if I draw a “C”, Voiceover says “9 apps, CBC News” which means it found 9 apps that start with “C” and CBC News is the first in the list. 3. Now do a 2-finger swipe from right to left, that is the gesture for “Delete” and you would normally use it if let’s say you wanted to draw a “V” and it turned out to recognize it as a “U” because maybe you made the bottom too round and you want to delete what you wrote. 4. As soon as you do this gesture and basically delete the single letter you wrote Voiceover will announce the total number of apps on your phone, in my case if I delete the C I wrote Voiceover will say “94 apps”. In comparison, if I go to Settings > General > About and look up the number of apps I have it tells me there are 66, in other words I now know that I installed 66 apps and that I have apparently 28 stock apps on my phone.
