It's not free on android. There is a version that uses online that is free. But the version with the onboard maps cost the same on both operating systems. It had been $100 on android, or 99 something. They drop the price when the iOS version came out. There are other differences between the paid and free versions, but I don't remember them all off the top of my head. Mary
