Hi This might be one of the settings under system settings within location services. There are things like cellular services wanting to use location services, wifi wanting to use this, traffic routing wanting to use it. Might it have been one of those?

That is not the way to go if you have GPS apps for instants or other applications, maybe a local news application or whatever, that need your location. Even the weather app needs your location.
