The update isn't aquired from the app store.
deleting the update, will only last, until you charge and lock your handset,
then it will redownload.
The only way, i can think of, is to delete any update that has already been
downloaded, and turn off WiFi, when you are charging your phone.
This will stop the redownload of the update.
Just remember, that once your phone is fully charged, you should remove the
charging cable and turn back on your WiFi.
Dave.

The download can be removed from the device, eliminating the nag message,
and freeing up 1gb from your device.
When a person is ready to upgrade, simply re-download from the app store.

Rick

Actually, turning off wi-fi when a device is charging is a good idea, and
not one I’ve thought about. That way, the update won’t be downloaded as that
requires wi-fi. Just remember to turn it back on again when the device is
off charge.

people should be able to update when they are comfortable with the update,

can't stand these high and mighty people, who just can't answer a
question, and think they have the right, to tell us, what they think we
should do!
If you can't answer the question which is posed, then don't answer it at
all!

No there is not. You will just have to deal with it until you are ready to
upgrade. Better still, upgrade to rid the nag messages forever.

Hi,
Is there a way to suppress the nag message about upgrading to iOS 10?
I'm not ready to upgrade yet and I'm getting tired and annoyed with the
message.
Thanks,
Marshall
