Thank you so much. You have given me a list of what I want...as long as
Siri will still respond when I say, "Siri call...".
I just want a phone right now and when I feel more comfortable with the
SE, I just might explore other options.

Settings > Display and Brightness and turn brightness down to 0% and make sure auto
brightness is turned off. Then go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services and turn off

This will definitely give you great battery life, but you'll also disable a lot
of the features which make an iPhone a smart phone. I personally rather charge
my phone a bit more often before I disable stuff that is convenient.
