Hello to everybody who has tried to help me. I really appreciate it. It turns out that my friends number is not blocked at all, on either end. Mine nor his.
I did add him as a contact, and then checked to see if he was blocked. The number was not blocked. I realized after I said that I was going to try to text him on my iPad, that I couldn't. He does not have an iPhone. So I put a messaging app on my phone, and I tried to text him that way. It still didn't work. So did I even called AT&T, knowing they probably couldn't help me. The lady told me that if he gets an error message when he tries to send me a message, that the problem is most likely on his end. I asked him if he could text other people, or receive messages. But he didn't say rather he good or not. We have been emailing back-and-forth. I did check to see if SMS was on, and it was. So that's not the issue either. So I am going to think that the problem is on his end. But I really don't know. It's rather strange! I can text anyone else. Thank you again for all the help. I really appreciate it. If I ever do some of this is you, I will let you all know what we found out. If so, are your messages going as iMessages and do they have iMessage enabled? Lastly, whether they have an iPhone or not, you may want to check your Messages settings to see if you have turned on the "Sent as SMS if iMessage is unavailable" feature.
