Hi, The new iPod Touch has the same processor chip as your iPhone 4S, it is called the A5 chip. So, the speed of the new touch should match that of your 4S. The camera in the new Touch is the same as in the newest iPad, a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and flash, so if you want to use it for bar codes, etc., it should work fine. It will also have SIRI, the same screen and size of the iPhone 5, etc..

I have an Iphone 4s. I was trying to help him with something on his IPad. Not surprising, it is incredibly slow compared to my phone. How does the speed compare between the new Ipod Touch and the New Ipad? He's not sure whether he would like a new IPad or go to an IPod Touch. Again, I appreciate everyone's help.
