A tip for others updating to a recent iPhone model: I just got my iPhone 7 plus and rang Apple Care because the camera made no click when taking photos. They told me to reset all settings and were then trying to persuade me to totally erase the phone and start again when my wife interrupted to say she'd googled the problem and discovered that the default camera setting is to have Live Photos turned on - and when Live Photos is turned on, there is no click sound... Whew! The cavalry arrived just in time! Harry
