Hi Marie, I haven't experienced this. When you entered your passcode, are you sure that it didn't maybe already have a couple of incorrect digits entered and then when you tried to enter the complete passcode it would just tell you that it was an incorrect passcode after 4 more digits. Anyhow, if it is a once-off thing I wouldn't worry about it, if it happens on a regular bases then of course it requires more investigation. Make sure also your screen is clean, I have seen very strange behaviour with touch screens that were dirty.
