Kevin is flogging Google stuff as usual, I believe he is referring to something he set up with the Google Home Speaker (Google's version of the Amazon Echo) and he is using IFTTT to control it. I'm sure there are also home kit capable controllers and apps for this which will work with your iOS device. Sorry if I am not researching this further, from now until March any sprinkler where I live would at best produce ice cubes and even in July and August I rarely need to water the lawn, it can get to be in the 90's here as well, but then again if I don't water it I won't have to cut the grass as often *smile*.
