Todd, The reason I suggested TapTapSee, is that it is made by the same people who make CamFind, but it doesn't clutter the screen with ads for where you can buy things. Also, be sure you find the button when you install a camera app that asks for permission to use the camera, otherwise they won't work at all. I am hoping the output stays on the screen long enough to use with a braille display. Sieghard is right, that the iPhone is not very good at color identification, but TapTapSee will at least identify patterns and if the light is good, at least come close on the color. I've used it fairly successfully with shirts with a wide variety of patterns and colors and it is probably 75% accurate with color in mediocre lighting and gets better in good lighting. But, you will always want sighted confirmation or good labels like Sieghard suggested for any time that being well dressed is important. If it is a casual event, and exact matching isn't necessary, with practice TapTapSee can do OK. Plus it is free.
