Basically you'll choose a room name or pass word. So lets say you create
a room named dog. You would give that to all the people you want to join
you and they would enter that on their apps or computers depending on
how they are coming out to the conference. Rooms go away once the last
person leaves. But if you create an account I think you can reserve a
room that's always yours that no one else can use. I would recommend
testing without creating an account until you become familiar with how
things work. I think your camera might be on the start out, but you can
turn that off easily. The audio is really good as well. there's all
kinds of ways you could use this.

thank you! I have downloaded it and will see if I can work out how to use it…
If you have any tips do pass them on.
Thanks again, Sandy

Try appear.in. You can do a search for appear.in on the app store and use the
app or go to appear.in on your computer. this will give you the ability to
create a conference room on the fly that supports up to eight people. This
supports audio or video conferencing. You can create a room on the fly with a
pass word or create an account and reserve the same room name every time you
want to connect. It works really well.

hi,
I am wanting to set up a small group of friends who want to exercise on a daily
basis. we would all be in our own homes, but chatting away to each other as a
sort of mutual personal training group. motivation is the key word here! now, I
have wanted to do this for quite awhile, but my broadband has been impossible.
recently, however, we got a better broadband solution, it isn't great, but… so,
what is the best app to use? as I am planning to link up, primarily, with other
VIPs, I don't think we need to have a visual contact only sound. this would
also, presumably, but less strain on my creaking broadband. did I hear of an
app called team talk or some such?
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. And simple has to be the
watchword.
Thanks, Sandy
