I am probably wrong, but it seemed to me that we used to have 12 A per page in folders. But I have been trying to move some apps around and noticed that I can only have nine apps per page in a folder now. Why? Has anyone ever seen a discussion on this? It seems like there is a lot of space going unused, and while I know my phone is big, I would think even you could have 12 on an iPhone SE. There must be a reason. But I sure don't know what it is.
