Sieghard, You were wondering what benefits there to using the BotVac
Connected with the app: Well, firstly, indeed, you can clean your house without
it. However, and this only applies when the app is accessible, you can choose
the strength of the suction, for example, I much prefer to use the "Eco" mode,
'tis quieter, faster and the battery lasts longer. For my floors, which are
primarily, hard surfaces, I actually find it more efficient. Without the app,
you are stuck on "Turbo" unless you can see the screen on the Bot. With the
app, you can schedule cleaning cycles if that suits your life-style. When there
are problems, like the bin needs emptying, the brushes need untangling or the
Vac is stuck somewhere, you get notifications on your phone telling you what is
wrong, or, that the Bot has finished cleaning and has returned to the dock. You
can choose the size of a "Spot Clean", which can be useful. I am fairly sure
that there are diagnostic tools as well, but haven't experimented with that
aspect.
So, these Vacuums are very useful, with or without an app, but, as a VIP
user, I do find the app is something I like to use and miss, when it is
inaccessible.
