Well, yes, you can definitely run iPhone apps on an iPad mini. Do you have some 
sight? I'm asking because if you don't, I don't see picture in picture being 
valuable for you. As for the split screen, according to the reviews I have 
seen, it's not all that great on the mini, due to the fact that the mini is 
already rather small. Of course those were sighted folks writing those reviews. 
I have a mini, it's an older one. And I never use split screen. I see no value 
in it for me. Hopefully others who do use it will have something different to 
say. The other caution flag I would put up about the iPad mini for is that it 
is running a chip which is two years old. No big deal? Not now. But I wonder 
about the longevity of the device, since it's Chip  is that old. Rumor is, new 
iPads are coming out next spring, but the question is, will the mini get a 
refresh?
