Subject: If I reset a no-carrier iPhone, will it insist on a
carrier?
Someone gave me an old iPhone 3GS, which I use as an iPod,
without a phone
carrier.
I'd also like to use the camera, but something's wrong with the
Camera Roll
icon -- if you select it, it spits you right back out.
To try to fix it, I'm thinking of trying "Erase all content and
settings".
But if I reset it in that way, is it possible that it will it
think I just
bought it, and it will it hold me hostage, refusing to let me use
it unless
I pick a phone service carrier?
