I found the passcode options and pressed that I did not want to enter a
passcode, and the phone is
asking me to confirm, but a simple doujble tap doesn't seem to be a cofirmation
and I can't find an
ok button on the screen.

If I'm recalling correctly, the pass code that you are being asked to enter is
the 4 digit code that
you have set for restrictions. If not that it is your iTunes password.
