Yes, anything you change on either device will sync up to the cloud and back to any other device. Actually, on your phone you are accessing the cloud version unless you Favorite the document in which case a local copy is downloaded to your phone. If you don't do this you need a data connection (WiFi or 3G/LTE) for the document to be available.
