There is now an option in the Dropbox App which allows you to place any file in an off line place on your phone so I have often done this when on an airplane or in a place where I will have no way to be online.

You can also flick up and down in the area measuring the time and go to different locations in the file. The only thing I can't do which I wish I could is place a bookmark in an area that I might want to go back to for information. In that case, I just look at the time location and make a note of it and then I know exactly where to move to if I need to find it. A little inconvenient, but not too bad.
