yes, I use color id and it is good.
little minor issue, if there is stripes or plaid, it picks just one color
instead of three, four or more colors in a time. any advice?

The best option is still a good old stand-alone colour identifier like the
Colorino, it does I think 150 colours, but it speaks them as understandable
colours and not like whatever weird names they come up with like the one you
mentioned. The Colorino will say maybe "Intensive Red" or something like
that, but pretty clear what it means and much more reliable than anything
you can get for the iPhone. They do also seem to last since I had mine for
probably 15 years and all I ever do is to replace the batteries maybe once a
year.

also iDentifi does a good job. but you need to know that none of them are
going to be anywhere near what a sighted person sees, especially with
patterns or different shades.
But either app, TapTapSee or iDentifi will be close, depending on lighting
of course.
