Hi, Never would have guessed the raise to wake was in display and brightness, thanks for that. But turning the sound affects off in voice over audio turns all the sounds off e.g. when you flick left and right, I wanted all the other sounds to remain, is there no way of doing that?

First off, for your lifting the phone issue, go to settings, display and brightness and turn raise to wake off. As for Voiceover saying screen locked, if you turn off sounds in settings, general, accessibility, Voiceover and Audio, you will get the screen locked message again. This is a new feature in iOS 10 where if you have sounds enabled, you don't get that message.
