Yes, Marie, Bluetooth headset may be the criminal at issue. I've just done another reboot after turning lots of Sounds Settings off then on again and I then sent a text with fireworks. After the reboot this time all sounds came back. Mysterious - but relieved!! Thanks for all replies. Harry
