Hello Terri,

As this is not a Microsoft support forum, our ability to assist you is limited.

What I can tell you is that if your copy of Outlook is pulling mail from a Google server, such as would be the case if you are using gMail, then it is very likely that your gMail account has been updated in order to increase your account security. This means that by default, older versions of Outlook can no longer access the server unless you manually enable Google to allow for non-secure email clients.

To do this, simply google something like, “how to enable non-secure email clients for gMail”, and you will find the steps to accomplish this.

Also, I suggest that you join a support forum that is dedicated to your Windows 7 screen reader of choice. They will most likely be able to help you in such matters.

Good Luck,

Mark

Subject: Problem with Outlook

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding Outlook, on my laptop. I realize I should ask this question somewhere else. But I honestly don't know where else to ask it. Plus, the issue does affect my iPhone at times, but is easily correctable.

I am still using windows 7. I use Thunderbyrd as my mail client. I wouldn't really know what else to use. Plus, I like it.

For quite a while now, I am asked to enter my password. I know the password well, so this is not an issue. This problem can happen often, and usually over time, I can get it to work again. But since late last night, I can't seem to straighten out the issue. Every time I enter my password, I get a message saying that the log inn has failed. As you can see, I can use the Outlook App on my phone, just fine. So I am really at a loss as to what to do, anymore. I can't send email from my laptop, and in most cases, I would prefer to do this.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to what could be going on?
If so, would you have any suggestions as to how to fix the issue, preferably for good?

Any help with this matter would be very much appreciated. I am beyond frustrated at this point.

Thank you,

Terri
